CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Operational management and maintenance of Bourj Hammoud Community Center
23 April 2026
- Beirut, 22 April 2026 - UNOPS is pleased to announce the launch of the Call for Proposals (CfP) for the Operational Management and Maintenance of the Bourj Hammoud Community Center, as part of the Sustainable Integrated Municipal Actions (SIMA) project. This project is funded by the German Government through KfW Development Bank and is implemented by UNOPS, in partnership with the Municipality of Bourj Hammoud.
UNOPS invites proposals from national officially registered non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, foundations, and academic institutions. Organizations with a strong local presence and close engagement with the target communities are particularly encouraged to apply. The selected partner will implement a 6-month intervention combining the operational management and maintenance of the Community Center with the delivery of social activities.
The Bourj Hammoud Community Center will serve as a multi-purpose municipal community hub - a safe, inclusive space where the municipality and local partners can host community activities, capacity-building sessions, and programmes that strengthen community resilience. The center is envisioned to function in synergy with the surrounding public facilities in Bourj Hammoud, including the Bourj Hammoud Stadium, the municipality football stadium that regularly hosts local matches.
Call for Proposals documentation is available in English, and all applications must be submitted in English.
