Gender-Based Violence: UNFPA Annual Report 2020
The compounded crises currently affecting Lebanon increased the protection risks, especially for women, girls, and marginalized groups such as persons with disability, undocumented women and girls, and members of the LGBTIQ community. This report presents an overview of UNFPA's response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) throughout 2020, while highlighting GBV risks in Lebanon, the population groups most at risk and the support given by the UN to service delivery and community engagement, including the issuance of guidance notes and technical tools that contributed to the development of national strategies and new approaches for services delivery in this respect. The report also charts out UNFPA's response to the Beirut port explosions and concludes with a set of priorities for 2021 as to addressing Gender-Based violence in Lebanon.
