UNOPS launches third and fourth rounds of Call for Proposals in Lebanon

Funded by the German government through KfW Development Bank, the third and fourth round of UNOPS calls for proposals is now open!

About the initiative

UNOPS is seeking proposals from local officially registered non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, foundations and academic institutions to assist in the operational management and maintenance for two years of the below mentioned

  • Bourj Hammoud Garden
  • Bourj Hammoud Courts
  • Qasqas Courts 
  • Horsh Beirut 

The four Call for Proposals documents are available in English. Applications should be submitted in English.

The interventions in the courts & gardens, funded by the German government through KfW Development Bank,  will focus on the operational management of the sites, such as the provision of cleaning and maintenance-related services, and implementation of community activities in coordination with the Municipality of Beirut and Municipality of Bourj Hammoud. 

Applicants can submit proposals as a consortium or individually and they can apply to multiple calls. 

Organizations which have gender equality practices in place with specialized knowledge, expertise, and a track record of working on community activities and maintenance of public spaces, women’s rights organizations, women-led organizations and grassroot women’s organizations are encouraged to apply.

For Bourj Hammoud Calls: The application is open from 22 April - 22 May 2024, 15:00 (GMT 3.00). 

For Beirut Calls: The application is open from 23 April - 23 May 2024, 15:00 (GMT 3.00). 

 

All applications can be submitted through one of the below options:

  1. Via email to: grantslb@unops.org
  2. Personal delivery to UNOPS office should be made during the working hours from 09:00 to 14:00 Beirut/Lebanon before or by the submission deadline. One hard copy of the duly completed and signed form marked “Copy” shall be included. A signed receipt will be given back once received.

Pre-submission meetings will be held on 30 April, 2024 virtually to provide guidance to potential applicants in the application process and answer any questions needed.
