- Beirut, 18 April 2023: The World Health Organization (WHO) in Lebanon has celebrated its 75th anniversary as a beacon of hope, resilience and progress in advancing the country's public health and humanitarian efforts.
This document provides a shared understanding of the impact of the multi-layered crisis in Lebanon on the population, the systems and the services provided.
The Emergency Response Plan (ERP) was developed to address the needs of the most vulnerable among the Lebanese and migrants affected by the various crises.
This is the 2023 updated version of the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan that was initially developed in response to the Syria crisis.
- Beirut, 11 May 2023 – UNESCO announced today the completion of its rehabilitation project of the iconic Sursock Museum damaged by the blasts that hit the port of Beirut on 4 August 2020, after a €1 million funding from Italy. It is set to reopen its doors on 26 May 2023.

- Beirut, 13 May, 2023 – The Embassy of Japan, the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon and UNOPS got together to mark the successful completion of the “Urgent Health Sector Support in Lebanon” project at the Minieh Governmental Hospital.
